My motivation

I took my guitar out for a maintenance trip today! 8D

It needed new strings because the 4th string seems to be coming out. D:

It's been since Nov' 08 and all 4th, 5th and 6th strings from the guitar seems to be rusting off. XD;;

And it's been long since i've entered the guitar shop where i bought my guitar. :'D

So i was excited. 8D

Yeah, when i entered the store, i saw Gibson Les Pauls. o___________________o

And since i saw a Gibson Les Paul, i'm definitely sure there were Epiphone Les Pauls. D8

I took a stroll around the store, and since the store's quite small, so there weren't many expected guitars to be there.

I wasn't expecting Gibson Les Pauls to be there though, since the store's small and all. o__o

And amazingly, i saw Epiphone guitars. D8

There was a Flying V electric guitar if i wasn't mistaken, and i couldnt have a better look at the Epiphone Les Pauls, because they were in a glass case behind the counter and the body of the guitar wasn't facing front. orz;;

Sadly, they didn't have the design i wanted. orz;;

Better luck next time i'd say. :'D

Hmm, i wonder if they take orders. :'D

Just recently after singing 'Goodbye Days' by YUI, i had the urge of singing more of her songs, and i've been really into her songs than usual. o___o

It's a good sign anyway, YUI's songs are seriously great. :'D

I found a few great YUI songs which caught my interest and i found the chords, but i have problem playing the chords because one of the chords is a serious hand stretcher and i will be having a hard time pressing most of the chords on time. D8

Well, as they always say, practice makes it perfect. :'D

Before i sang to my real life friends, my net friends was the one who heard me singing first. 8D

Though of course, i wasn't very good at that time, and was super shy. XD;;

Thanks to my net friends i started opening up by singing to the people that's close around me. 8D

My net friends kinda motivated me to start singing openly. 8D

I sang 'You and Me' by Lifehouse to my net friends, and that was my very first song that i could sing and play together. 8D

And yes of course, it was really crappy, though my net friends kept saying it wasnt, i still had to deny it and say it was crappy. XD;;

After that i got bored and wanted to play and sing another song, 'Tears in Heaven' by Eric Clapton was my next choice.

Why that song?

Well, my elders loved this song( i think LOL *shot* ), and i loved it too, so i thought why not? Since i know my elders doesnt want to hear me play and sing modern songs when they'll be asking me to sing and play for them. XD;;

And this song's all about plucking the strings. 8D

I learned how to pluck from looking through books that has solo tablatures in it.

I couldn't wait for my teacher so yeah, i started learning to pluck myself. 8D

And that's when i started to love Freestyling, LOL. XD;;

Actually i didnt even know what Freestyling is, i just took whatever guitar book they have in Popular bookstores, bought it and brought it back home, flipped a page, started pressing the strings and plucked them! XD;;

And Taka said to me that i should be able to play Power chords since i knew how to pluck already, LOL.

Power chords could only be used for electric guitars to give off that rockish feeling, i think, LOL.

But i've seen people using Power chords for classical and acoustic guitars, so bleh. XD;;

So as time passes by, you'd get bored with just 2 songs, amiright? >8D

This is where 'Goodbye Days' by YUI jumped in the bandwagon. 8D

And yes 'Goodbye Days' is the first Japanese song i sang. 8D

I was glad that i chose the right song. 8D

The chords of the song was hard at first and i had problems singing and i didn't quite strum it on the right time, but later on, it was quite quite easy to catch up with the song after alot of practice. 8D

I still remember my uncle once said or asked.

'Why is a girl playing a guy's thing?'

Well, who said that playing the guitar was only a guy's thing?

I say not. >8D

Why? Well, guys, it's the 21st century, there's policewomen in the U.S, and there are women who joined the army force.

So why not? 8D

Not long ago, my uncle asked my mom how well was i doing with the guitar and asked if i could sing.

My mom said i was doing well with the guitar, and she wasn't sure if i could sing and play, well of course, i dont think i have sung a song for her yet that time.

And my uncle said,

'Invite her over and sing for us some time.'

Us referring to my more-than 5 uncles and aunties.

Just imagine me shaking, LOL.

Bleh, i have to sing to them sooner or later anyway. XD;;

So yeah, who started all this?

A friend of mine from the net who came and asked me to sing for her and my other net friends. 8D

Who was my motivation?

My net friends and my real life friends. 8D

... and someone i hate, LOL. *shot*
