Guide and Experience on Guitars

Yush, im gonna give a lil' guide and experience i have about guitars. Head back or close the window if you dont want to read about it. :'D

I'm doing this because i'm extremely bored. orz;;

Andd yes, it's about classical, acoustic and electric guitars. :'D

Classical guitar strings are harder to press, but less painful because the strings are made from nylon. And their necks is a bit wider.

Acoustic guitar strings are easier to press, but alot more painful because the strings are made from steel. Their necks is a bit thinner. I'm not sure about this, LOL. It could be harder to press. D8 I'm gonna go have a test run with the acoustics in my school next Friday, so stay tune. :'D *shot*

Electric guitar strings are easier to press too, and also less painful, but the strings are also made from steel, plus, the guitar's heavy. Their necks are thin and a lil' longer like acoustics.

Keep in mind, if you have not touch any of the other guitars, whichever guitar you're gonna play for the first time, will be painful at first. :'D

The pain would last for a few days, and your fingertips will have calculus, or whatever you call it, LOL. It's a thing where your fingertips go 'harden'.

When it's 'harden', your fingertips would be immune to the pain while you press the guitar strings. :'D

Anddd you can play songs with your guitar happily, LOL.

Wait, there's still strumming. :'D

And yes, for strumming, we use 'picks'. 8D

For me, i'd prefer strumming with my own fingers, but i use picks too. :'D

There are types of picks for every certain type of guitar. 8D

I play the Classical, so i use the soft type. You could use the hard type to produce a louder tone, but if you're gonna sing while you play, preferably the soft, because if you use the hard type, it'd be hard to hear your sing!

Hard type picks, are mostly made for either electric guitars or bass guitars. I'm not sure about acoustics because i've never came across people holding picks for acoustics.

And yes, fingers, i'd use fingers because if you play a song which lasts 3 or 4 minutes with a pick, the pick might just slip off from your fingers. It's either because your finger's are sweating or you strummed the guitar just a lil too hard with the pick.

And for strumming patterns, there arent any certain strumming patterns actually. You just strum the guitar the way you feel like strumming. 8D

I looked for strumming patterns too when i first played the guitar, but sometimes i just couldn't look for the right strumming patterns, so i strummed them how i like it to be strummed. 8D

Sometimes the strumming patterns that you play might not fit that particular song, but it still sounds the same as long as you pressed the chords right, but if you think the strumming sounds wrong for that particular song, fiddle around and listen to the song carefully till you get the right rhythm. 8D

Andd that's about just my knowledge and experience i have on guitars. :'D

Might update another post later on. Cant think of what i did recently. D8 *shot*

Peace. :'D

P/S: Happy playing/learning! 8D Although it's not good, but i hope it did something. XD;;
